Application

The Next Step Program at the Texas Pythian Home is designed to help young adults ages 18 to 25 successfully transition into independent living. This program provides a safe, stable, and supportive environment where participants can work toward becoming self-sufficient while building a strong foundation for their future.

Next Step is a working program, meaning participants are required to maintain employment or have a reliable source of monthly income while enrolled. Residents are encouraged to further their education, whether by attending college, trade school, or other vocational training, while saving money and developing the life skills necessary for long-term success.

The program serves young adults transitioning from the Texas Pythian Home Residential Program, individuals aging out of foster care, and other young adults in the community who need additional support and stability as they begin adulthood.

To ensure a safe living environment for everyone, all applicants must successfully complete a background check and pass a drug screening prior to acceptance into the program.

The goal of the Next Step Program is to empower young adults with the tools, guidance, and support they need to become confident, responsible, and independent members of their communities.
